Morning Puffs breakfast
cereals are puffed and flaked using freshly harvested
grains. Our range includes ten varieties
which are free from added salt, sugars, artificial
flavours and colours. They contain only the
natural grain with nothing else added, and
are naturally cholesterol and sodium free
and low in saturated fat.
After harvesting, these
pure grain cereals are puffed by a special
process to produce a 'puff ball' which preserves
the original shape of the grain, and helps
to maintain maximum nutrition. The process
also roasts the grains, which helps with
digestion and gives them a delicious toasted
flavour.
We select only first class
whole grains which have been organically
grown for our range of 'Morning Puffs' breakfast
cereals. The outer husk is removed and we
puff the grains by heating them to a very
high temperature inside a sealed drum. This
special process produces a 'puff ball,' helping
to preserve the original shape of the grain
and to maintain maximum nutritional content.
It also gives the grain a delicious roasted
flavour.
Our puffed cereals are all gluten-free and include rice, millet, amaranth, corn, buckwheat and quinoa, whilst the puffs that are gluten-types are rye, spelt, wheat, oats and
barley.
Our flakes are also made using a traditional method of heating the raw grains to soften them, then just rolling the grains until they are flat. We pack and dispatch the flakes to our customers shortly after production, with the aim of having the freshest possible product for the consumer.
Coatings that can be applied to any of the puffs are: honey, maple, blackberry, blueberry, strawberry or chocolate.
